"Silent" Presentation of Hypoxemia and Cardiorespiratory Compensation in COVID-19. Severe hypoxemia presents variably, and sometimes silently, without subjective complaints of dyspnea. The adequacy of cardiovascular compensation for oxygen delivery to tissues should be a focus in all hypoxemic patients.
