The above grading scheme has been proposed for neuroendocrine tumors of the gastrointestinal tract. * HPF: high power field; 10 HPF = 2 mm 2 , at least 40 fields (at 400x magnification) evaluated in areas of highest mitotic density. • MIB1 antibody; percent of 2000 tumor cells in areas of highest nuclear labeling.
