See table above. • These factors can be used to determine recurrence risk for patients with early breast cancer and categorize them as low, intermediate, or high risk. They must be balanced by patient factors (ie, age and performance status) and patient preference. The delineation of risk thresholds may be determined by institutional or physician-practice guidelines.
