©2013 UpToDate ® Print Email Balloon valvuloplasty in pulmonic stenosis Percutaneous balloon valvuloplasty for typical pulmonic valvular stenosis is an effective and safe procedure for those with moderate to severe stenosis. A balloon cathether is shown positioned across the stenotic pulmonic valve. The balloon is inflated to dilate the pulmonic valve opening.
