©2013 UpToDate ® Print Email Patterns of ST segment elevation in brugada syndrome Three distinct types of ST segment elevation have been described. In type 1, the ST segment gradually descends to an inverted T wave. In type 2, the T wave is positive or biphasic, and the terminal portion of the ST segment is elevated ≥1 mm. In type 3, the T wave is positive, and the terminal portion of the ST segment is elevated <1 mm. Arrows denote the J-wave. Calibrations are given.
