©2013 UpToDate ® Print Email Chronic pulmonary aspergillosis (A) Chest radiograph showing a large left upper lobe cavity, with some pleural thickening and minor pericavitary infiltrates inferiorly, with no evidence of an aspergilloma. Otherwise the lung fields are abnormal, with subtle infiltrates most consistent with sarcoidosis. He presented with significant hemoptysis, weight loss, cough and fatigue over several months. (B) Bronchial artery angiogram in the same patient, showing a extensive network of additional vessels surrounding the empty cavity, which were successfully embolized.
