©2013 UpToDate ® Print Email C-reactive protein and troponin T are predictive of mortality In the TIMI 11A study of 630 patients with unstable angina or a non-Q wave myocardial infarction, an early positive troponin T level (cTnT) and C-reactive protein (CRP) level ≥1.55 mg/dL were both associated with an increased mortality at 14 days; the mortality was highest when both levels were elevated.
