©2013 UpToDate ® Print Email Calcified pleural plaques Bilateral calcified pleural plaques due to previous asbestos exposure and a right-sided malignant mesothelioma. Chest radiographs shows multiple calcifications en face and in tangent, along the rib cage overlying the lung and along the diaphragm.
