IDMS (Isotope Dilution Mass Spectrometry) indicates a method for determining creatinine concentration that has been standardized using, or traceable to, IDMS. Contact laboratory if uncertain as to whether or not reported values are IDMS-traceable. You can estimate the glomerular filtration rate from the formula if the serum creatinine concentration is stable.
