©2013 UpToDate ® Print Email Captopril lowers cardiovascular mortality post-MI Life table for death from cardiovascular disease in 2231 patients in the SAVE trial with left ventricular dysfunction but without overt heart failure randomized to captopril or placebo 3 to 16 days after an acute myocardial infarction.
